Congratulations on your recent retirement from public education. I hope you are enjoying your new-found freedom by doing the things you enjoy the best.
I am excited to encourage you to join PSEA-Retired, as you joined PSEA when you were actively employed in the public schools. Joining PSEA-Retired in the Northeastern Region will offer many benefits.
- The PSEA Member Benefits program offers you thousands of discount and savings opportunities on mortgages, mobile service, insurance, financial services, restaurants, hotels, and more.
- The opportunity to interact with fellow retirees in a myriad of social settings (attached to this letter, please see a list of some of the social activities we have enjoyed in the past few years for our members and their guests).
- Two chapter breakfast or lunch meetings per year (one in the spring, one in the fall), in which there is a brief business session and normally an educational presentation of interest to members and seniors on timely age-appropriate topics.
- PSEA continues to be the biggest voice in lobbying state policymakers on education issues, including a cost-of-living increase for retirees. As a member of PSEA-Retired, you have a voice in that advocacy.
The region is divided into five different chapters, and as a member of PSEA-Retired, you may participate in any or all of these events. The chapters are: ENDLESS MOUNTAINS (principally Bradford, Susquehanna, Sullivan, and Wyoming Counties), SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY (principally Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland Counties), LUZERNE COUNTY (principally Luzerne County), LACKAWANNA AND WAYNE COUNTIES (principally Lackawanna and Wayne Counties), and POCONO (principally Monroe and Pike Counties).
Please join us and add your voice to the nearly 32,000 PSEA-Retired members statewide and nearly 3,500 members in our Northeastern Region. Please return the membership form to:
